Jesus Christ is the healer, savior and absolute King of Kings. He suffered and paid the unimaginable price for you and I. We are constantly reminded of these truths in church and group or even on holidays like Christmas and Easter. But what does it really mean to let Christ into your heart? “Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into Heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him” (1 Peter 3:21-22). Accepting Christ into your heart and building a relationship with him is much more than just “putting on a show” for church and for friends. Accepting Christ into your heart is having the privilege to let the creator of the entire universe be the King over your life, walking by your side throughout the blink-of-an-eye of what life is, and getting to spend eternity at his feet, in the kingdom of heaven. “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Proclaiming Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord will change many outlooks and perspectives in your life. But most of all your heart will be at ease and you will walk through life fearless and full of Hope. Let Christ shine through you in everything you do, and you will be amazed by the results.
